Okay I did all the things that I was suppost to do, before posting this log. Currently I can't connect to the internet. At first I thought it was my router so I pluged in the computer directly to the DSL modem, however I still was not to connect to the internet, so then I thought it was the modem so I pluged the modem to my laptop and I have internet connection. I also pluged the modem into the router and I was able to connect wirelessly. I'm sure it is a problem with the computer. I don't have internet access so I was unable to run panda anti-virus, nor run a windows update. I do have Norton, adaware, and spysweeper but all came back negitive. Below is the hijackthis log.

Update:
I had an internet connection for a few minutes and I did all the steps, one problem I encoutered was with panda antivirus, it found an object but the internet failed on that computer and I was unable to save the report. I ran AVG ant-spyware and it found two objects, which I removed as stated on the "Do this before...." I also was able to download updates for Windows aka windows updater, and found that there was an update for my networking card, which among with all other critical patches I downloaded and installed. I know the problem does not lay with the router or modem, because I can plug my laptop in to the router via wired and still get the internet, I can plug my laptop directly into the modem and get internet, and I get internet wirelessly. This computer simply won't connect. I'm pretty sure its not hardware because, under the device manager, it say it works fine. This morning from about 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM I was able to get on. I don't know if they implies malware, I don't think that a hardware problem would not occur in the morning hours. If you need new lhijackthis ogs or logs from AVG AS, just ask! I hope this information helps and this can be resolved quickly.

Thanks for your help

I would like to see the AVG AntiSpyware log
And I would like to know if one of the other computers was connected when yours worked.
Also would like to know if you have any idea when or how this started.

Then
  • download this file - combofix.exe
  • Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
  • When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply
Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall.

Regards,

AVG Anti-Spyware - Scan Report
---------------------------------------------------------

+ Created at: 3:53:20 PM 10/19/2006

+ Scan result:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\WeatherBug\MiniBugTransporter.dll -> Adware.Minibug : Cleaned with backup (quarantined).
C:\WINDOWS\system32\HCPSMng.exe -> Heuristic.Win32.AVKiller : Cleaned with backup (quarantined).

::Report end

I don't understand the second question. The other two computers were connected wirelessly to the router, but the other two computers do not talk with this one.

This has been going on for the past few months off and on, but last wedensday, it went out completly.

I see a few options.

You blocked something in your firewall that should have had access.
lsass.exe or svchost.exe come to mind.
Can you check the settings?
I'm not familiar with NIS so I wouldn't know where to look, but I'm sure I can find someone who can help with that.

Or you have both NIS and the Windows firewall activated.
If so disable the Windows firewall http://support.microsoft.com/kb/283673

Or one of your other computers works as a server on your home network and regulates the internet access for this one.
For problems of this nature I would have to send you to our networking gurus:

This would be great, I did turn off the firewall at one point to see if that was the problem, but I still did not have any access, but if you could tell me how to fix this maybe it would work.

The Windows Firewall is turned off

This is not the case, all the computers connect directly to the router via wire or wireless.

Thank You For Your Help

Start the Norton Internet Security program by clicking Start and then [All] Programs. From there, find the Norton Internet Security program group and subsequently the Norton Internet Security program.
Once the program is loaded click Personal Firewall. Then, click Configure.
Click the Programs tab.
Under Manual Program Control, you'll see a list of programs that NIS is monitoring.

Check if you can find anything that doesn't look right to you.
Better ask if you are not sure before you change any settings.

They (DELL) didn't make a mess, so I'm glad to say this one is {RESOLVED}

Please do have a look at my site about removing and preventing spyware.
