Upgraded RAM - System Restore points have disappeared?

I upgraded my ram from 256mb to 512mb ram, now all my system restore points have disappeared. This wouldn't have been a problem except from I deleted some files last week which I need to recover, but now the system restore points have disappeared, there's no easy way to do this. Is there any way to get the system restore points back or do I need to download GetDataBack NTFS?
