Hi, is it po :confused possible to upgrade a CPU? What can't be done? Need help! Completly clueless. :whistling:

First you need to know what motherboard and processor you have in your computer. Download Everest and find out what you have. Then you go to the motherboard makers website and download the manual for your's. It should tell you the fastest processor you can use on that MB. If your processor does not match the fastest the Mb supports then you can upgrade to the faster proc.

A caveat here is that you might be able to find a motherboard/processor combo kit that does not cost much more than the upgraded processor costs. You can end up with a lot faster computer that way.

Belarc Advisor is much better:P and upgrade to an Intel, or switch mobo to an Intel-based system
