instalation trouble with rome total war

Hi, Having trouble installing rome-total war, as soon as I click install, I get "set26. tmp" has encountered a problem & needs to close down! Tried disabling security, firewall etc, nothing works, ran cccleaner yesterday & wondering if I've deleted something vital?? Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated.

do you have plenty of free space available on your hard drive?

You might run a checkdisk on your hard drive to see if it resolves the issue.

You may alse try coping the cd to the hard and running the install from there.
