Why can't I press my up arrow key?

Every time I press my up arrow key it shuts down my computer for a secod, but once I press my space bar key it comes right back on and right back to what I was doing? I am completely lost on why it is doing this, can you help?

It sounds like you up arrow somehow got Hotkeyed as your standby key. Did you change your hotkey settings? You might want to go to the malware page and run the anti-virus/trojan hunter programs that are pinned to the top of the board.
