How to back up memory card data (PS2) on computer

[font=Century Gothic] Hi... even though my Uncle makes and designs computer stuff and what not, i never find the time to ask him. I hope u can help. I'm a member of the ezboard online racing league and these guys are talking about the fact that they've been racing their horses on the computer. Gallop Racer 2004 is a ps2 game. I NEEEEEED to know how is it u get the data from off your ps2 memory card unto ur laptop or computer. Please

Well thats can be done i think... check out gamesharks website... actually you download this thing called an Emulator that plays PS2 games on the computer Roms are the games you download.. Roms are illegal but emulators arent so i wouldnt try to do it

Yeah thats what they will be doing emulation, or using PC versions of the game, you cant do it without hardware as its not a standardised memory device meaning that no off the shelf PC will have a slot to use it, and readers aren't exactly off the shelf either.
They could also just be using the game online with the PS2 kit to go online. Emulators and roms are an iffy subject legally, Sony doesnt support them and people have gotten in bother for making them, ive used a PS1 and just used the original games i have which should be fairly legal however it is borderline.

The easiest thing i could think of would be to buy a maxdrive, you can pick them up fairly cheap online and are realy easy to use.

If you have a network adapter you can ftp your game saves to your PC using any ftp software (e.g. Filezilla).
