Hi, I am using pretty old gateway computer..... When I have the hd attached directly to computer I can run Windows XP but only about 8GB of my 40GB hd is detected. When I have hd attached to controller card My computer can read full 40GB's but I can only run Windows 98 and not XP. When I try to boot with XP on hd when attached to controller card the computer shows computer information( Bios version, model #, etc.) but then when it gets time for OS to load the screen just stays black. Why is this????
