Every time I run a video file Windows Explorer shuts it down and freezes the computer occasionally. How do I stop this?

Start with updating the video card software

I'm sorry i do not understand what to download. My video adapter is RADEON X600 256MD HyperMemory Secondary (256 MB). The computer type is Intel pentium 4 630, 3000MHz. The model is Dell.
