I don't know what happened, but I removed a program from my computer b/c it kept popping up saying that I need to insert a CD (some Sonic Update Manager thing). Anyway, I don't know if that is what cause this problem, but now, whenever I try to open up a word document or a powerpoint presentation, an error pops up saying that Windows cannot open the file. Then it asks if you want to use the web to find the appropriate program.

I also don't see the typical microsoft icons anymore either. what's going on? can anyone help?

Thanks in advance!!
