Do a system restore -- select the date/restore point which says "installed IE7" or any restore point just before that. You could alternatively remove IE7 through 'Add/Remove Programs' (with 'show updates' checked) but that's unlikely to correct the damage it may have done to your system files. So system restore is the best way to go.
