Hello. I posted sometime ago, but unfortunately did not get a response (or one that I could find with my previos post about 2 months ago) so I thought I would try again. My computer has been running fiendishly slow and sometimes redirects me to other sites if I click on a webpage I Googled. Here is a copy of my HJT file. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for your expertise.

Hi fleshyman and Welcome to GeekstoGo!

Sorry you have had to wait so long. :whistling:

Please download FixWareout from one of these sites:
http://downloads.sub.../Fixwareout.exe
http://www.bleepingc.../Fixwareout.exe
  • Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
  • The fix will begin; follow the prompts.
  • You will be asked to reboot your computer.
  • Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.
  • Report.txt will be generated once the fix is completed.
  • Once the desktop loads--> Open HijackThis--> Click "Do a System Scan Only" and put a check by these but DO NOT hit the Fix Checked button yet

    O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{510C825C-0113-4961-828C-F9055E11583E}: NameServer = 85.255.115.5,85.255.112.25

    O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{5114C6C7-DB45-494D-A35A-629722B3C485}: NameServer = 85.255.115.5,85.255.112.25

    O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{EB730A8C-C8C4-44CB-B0E8-C37B695D89F1}: NameServer = 85.255.115.5,85.255.112.25

    O17 - HKLM\System\CS1\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 85.255.115.5 85.255.112.25

    O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 85.255.115.5 85.255.112.25

Now Make sure ALL WINDOWS and BROWSERS are CLOSED and hit the Fix Checked Button

Now open the Control Panel-> In the windows control panel. If you are using Windows XP's Category View, select the Network and Internet Connections category otherwise double click on Network Connections. Then right click on your default connection, usually local area connection for cable and dsl, and left click on properties. Click the Networking tab. Double-click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item and select the radio dial that says Obtain DNS servers automatically

Press OK twice to get out of the properties screen and reboot if it asks.
That option might not be avaiable one some systems.

Next Click Start--> Click Run-- Type in cmd and Click OK

Type in ipconfig /flushdns and hit Enter

(that space between g and / is needed)

Exit the command prompt.

Navigate to the site below,please.
http://www.virustota.../en/indexf.html

Have C:\WINDOWS\system32\adminmgr.exe scanned at the site.

Save any results to Notepad and post them back here along with Report.txt and a fresh HijackThis log.

Once those logs are posted,Please run the F-Secure Online Scanner

Note: This Scanner is for Internet Explorer Only!
  • Follow the Instruction on the F-Secure page for proper installation.
  • Accept the License Agreement.
  • Once the ActiveX installs,Click Full System Scan
  • Once the download completes, the scan will begin automatically.
  • The scan will take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan completes, click the Automatic cleaning (recommended) button.
  • Click the Show Report button and Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.

First I need to see a copy of the file I asked you to scan.

Naviagate to this site
http://www.uploadmalware.com/

Upload this file--> C:\WINDOWS\system32\adminmgr.exe

Please leave your name and link to this post so I know where the file came from.

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
This program is for XP and Windows 2000 onlyDouble-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
If you use Firefox browserClick Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
If you use Opera browserClick Opera at the top and choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.
For Technical Support, double-click the e-mail address located at the bottom of each menu.

After ATF Cleaner is completed,Restart in Safe Mode and be sure Windows is Showing Hidden Files
http://www.bleepingc...al62.html#winxp

Locate and Delete the following files:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CSEAM.0XE

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DMVZC.EXE

Next,I want you to find the file I had you scan--> C:\WINDOWS\system32\adminmgr.exe

Right Click and Select Delete to send it to the Recycle Bin but dont empty the Recycle Bin yet.

Open HijackThis-> Click "Do a System Scan Only" and put a check by these but DO NOT hit the Fix Checked button yet

Now Make sure ALL WINDOWS and BROWSERS are CLOSED and hit the Fix Checked Button

Restart Normal and Have the next file scanned at Virus Total

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\csr.exe

Save any results again and post them in the next reply, please.

Please run the Bit Defender Online Scan

You must use Internet Explorer for this scanner.

Install the ActiveX and Click on "Click here to Scan"

Ok, there is a post (might be several because I keep losing internet connectivity) at uploadmalware.com with the file you needed to view.

I also deleted the files in your previous post (dated 11/16/06 @ 5:40AM) but I did not empty the recycle bin for any of the three: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CSEAM.0XE; C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DMVZC.EXE; C:\WINDOWS\system32\adminmgr.exe. Do I need to empty the recycle bin for these items yet?

Here are the results from Virus Total scan:

The BitDefender is taking a little while (another 1.5 hours) so I will post that when it is finished. Just thought I would get you the rest of what you asked for and if I need to do anything else? Thank you again for your patience.

If it is the avi to mpeg converter...I downloaded a well...avi converter so I could post a video clip as a smaller clip on my FFB website. A friend told me that mpeg might be a better compression (thus smaller) to upload? I am assuming that is what you are talking about. I tried using it, but it really did me no good so if it is gone, that is ok. Should I delete it? The exe file is still on the desktop.

ok, the exe file was deleted. I noticed that there was nothing in the recycle bin. I am assuming one of the progeams I ran emptied it? I hope that doesn't screw up the 3 files you wanted to keep (sent to recycle bin but not deleted).
