HI- I am running windows xp and am trying to delete 2 user acounts. Each time I choose "delete account" it will freeze up after about 5 seconds, I dont have any other freezing problems, this only happens when I choose delete account. Is there any other way to delete user accounts besides going into the users menu?

Hey there marknf316

There is a way in command prompt but first lets try delete them in safe mode.

Restart the PC, while it is loading up press "F8" (This is usually just after memory check) and then select "Boot into Safemode.

Then select "Administrator" account, and delete the account from there.

Let me know what happens. Cool :whistling:

Hey again marknf316, sorry for the late reply.

Goto:
> Start
> Run
> Type in "cmd"

In command prompt type in:
"net user [username] /delete

Where [username] is type in the user you wish to delete.

Once you have done that it should say:
"The command completed successfully."

If not try the same in Safemode.

Let me know how things go. Cool :whistling:

Sorry leave out "[]" just user name. So it will look like this:

"net user john /delete"

Cool :whistling:
