Hi,
If anyone can help with ideas i'd be very happy:)
It started with my usb webcam and moderm not working, went throu the uninstall and reinstall, it won't accept the drivers for either, deleated all drivers , tried new from logitech online, tried again with cd.The printer is usb and fine also able to use other usb cables just not webcam or modem.

setupapi.log showed

the system found C:\windows\INF\certclas.inf was missing and "blocked" the camera install. It then installed a NULL driver for the device.
Anyway i then reinstalled windows xp using a pals cd.....which of course turned out to be not validated by windows so have now lost online help from ms lol
The latest is that my hardware device manager is showing empty of anything at all :whistling:Am going quite mad here lol......please if anyone can help at all it would be great.
Thanks.
