alright i have mandriva linux 2006 and i dont know how to install stuff like flashplayer and java and stuff like that. either you can help me by telling me how to install those or you can tell me how to install windows me. whichever one would be better and is the better choice.

Most of the programs install with either the rpm command, or there is a gui control center program which you can use to install programs.

To install java, there are instructions on java.com:

http://www.java.com/...0010500.xml#rpm

Also, under the Firefox web pages there are instructions for downloading and installed various packages which are used for web pages.

Using Linux means you have to figure things out a bit more, but it is a much more stable platform and more secure.
