I got a question that hopefully someone may have some knowledge on. I attempted to turn on my computer today, but it wouldn't boot. The screen remained blank (no error messeges or anything), and all I hear is this annoying "chiming" type sounds coming from the computer (not the speakers). Anyone have any ideas on what maybe causing the problem? Thanks

could you describe the sound? is it a chime or a beep? is it rhytmical? what's the patern of beeps/chimes? also...as much info about your pc as possible would be great (full system specs)

Sorry but don't know much about my PC specs at this time. I got it from a relative of mine. I'll have to get back to you on the specs part.
However, the sound is probably closer to a rhytmical beeping. A series of long beeps to start then a series of other beeps at different tones. Sounds almost musical.
I also have this really loud fan to start. It quites down after about 2 minutes... not sure if that may have caused the problem.
I've attached a sound file
VOC003.WAV 141.59KB 21 downloads
Thank you.
