I'm the queen of free downloaded software, I have Zone Alarm, AVG, and Ad-aware. Now all I need is a pop-up blocker that is recommended. I could download a google tool bar with a pop-up blocker because I trust google, but is there any other good ones where I dont have to have the annoying tool bar aswell?

Hi guys! thanks for the responses.

Sorry for my ignorance, but what is firefox? It sounds like an alternative to Internet Explorer sort of like an all-in one browser that also has a pop-up blocker. I'm learning all these things as I go along

So what is Firefox, and what does it do?

Firefox is a bandwith hogger.. But is worth it.

I would also recommend getting the google toolbar for 98 +ME

And has some great extensions to use! I don't use anything else unless I need to preview a webpage using different browsers to make sure they render correctly.

FireFox is great. Far more secure than Internet Exploder..

I use FireFox all the time and don't forget to update your firefox as that will keep you more secure for web browsing.

I would also keep your Internet Explorer because you may run into a web site that can only be viewed with Internet Explorer 6 or better.
