I just installed Ubuntu 6.06, dual booting with Windows XP. The installation went smoothly. However, when I restarted, I recieved the error

GRUB Loading stage 1.5.
GRUB loading, please wait...
Error 17

What can I do to fix this and boot back into my operating system(s)?

It depends on what you entered. You should be able to boot the system using the CD and then look at the files in /boot/grub. Most likely you will need to reinstall grub, which the second web page references.
