Hi,

I'm trying to transfer a bunch of video files off my laptop onto my desktop. I've hooked up a 1394 firewire between the two, they're both running windows xp. But I can't get either of them to share a file or respond to a ping. I'm pretty clueless on how to set this up. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hello Leesie and welcome to G2G,

I have never tried sharing with a 1394 connection so I can offer little help other than referrign you to a place where you might be able to find a resolution for your problem. Please check out this link.

If anyone else knows a solution please feel free to offer one.
