Daemon, just so you know, i have noticed that on my IE favorite list, the icon that is next to the name of the website, on some of them they have changed. (example: Bank of America has the ie icon, yahoo has the bank of america icon, geeks has the google icon, google has the yahoo icon) have you any idea as to why that is? this i have noticed since about two nights ago. also my norton antivirus corporate edition is taking about 3 minutes to load after i click on it, while laptop making clicking noise.

just so you know, and if you'd like to make a note of
towards finalizing killbox operation, it didn't give me ample time to click
on "OK" at any pending filerename operations prompt. it just continued on with rebooting
the system.

the great news is that i was finally able to go into norton, and delete all the files that were in
quarantine, when in the past, program did not respond, and i was unable.
therefore all of norton antivirus corporate edition, files in quarantine are now deleted.
i am running a new skapersky scan report, with the settings that you had requested,
and as soon as that's done, i will post it here for you.
if there is anything else, that you might need, let me know.

did the new kaspersk scan, and it's exactly half the size than the first report
i also did a scan with the norton corporate edition, and it came up with a
clean log, viruses found = 0 and in quarantine = 0
if you don't mind me asking you
if i was to go to my computer c:\documents and settings\all users\applicaction data\symantec\norton
antivirus corporate edition\7.5\quarantine folder, and to delete all it's contents, being
most of the files on the kaspersky log, would that be safe and ok to do? the files are all there, but
not in the norton quarantine log after the scan.

It will be OK if you delete the contents of that folder, not the folder itself, just what is in there. Then do this:

1. Right-click My Computer>Click Properties>Click the System Restore tab>Check the box next to 'Turn off System Restore on all drives'>Click Apply>Click OK.

2. Reboot.

3. Repeat the process but this time remove the check from the box.

Next, click here to download System Security Suite. Extract it from the zip file into a folder and doubleclick on sss.exe. Check the boxes under the 'Items to Clear' tab and click 'Clear Selected Items'. You will be prompted to reboot, do so.

I have had you run scans with a lot of different applications, each of which has found different pests. Could you work back through this thread, run them all again and post their logs so I can be sure there are no stragglers.

the great news is that my norton antivirus corporate edition is working great, no more lagging,
since it was ok with you to delete all the files in the quarantine folder.
i have done the system security suite and it went very well. as a matter of fact, the way it is now,
is that all the names in my IE7.0 favorites, have their correponding icons next to them.

It's a dialer that we remove using Killbox, just delete this folder:

C:\!KillBox
