Let me first say i run ad-aware,ccCleaner,avast,spy-bot,clean-up,and windows advanced care daily as well as keep them updated.
Ok for the past 4 days my xp is very slow. Its been slow at start up,opening programs, browsing the web, even opening "my documents",basically its slow doing anything. It even took me about 1 minute of waiting for each page to change when trying to post this topic here at Geeks To Go
And Ive noticed when i run Ad-aware its finding a plathura of critical objcts & negligble risk entries.I mean like 300 in 3 days! But when I run avast or spy-bot nothing comes up.Aso when i run Advanced windows care it will find (for example) 40 problems in the registry scan and a few problems in the security defense scan.
Ive gone through & cleaned up old programs & old stuff on my xp.Ive stashed away unused fonts. And Ive examined what programs run at start up.Oh and Ive ran disk check & disk clean up.And Ive defragmented my computer & none of this has even improved my xps performance.
Can someone tell me what the heck is going on with my computer? How do i fix it & most importantly, how do i prevent whatever caused this from doing it again?
Please & thank you!
