Hi
My site's back up after being down for about 35 hours.
Now when I use the FTP I can login but when I try to upload something (html page) i get this message: (i am using barely any disk space and my package gives me "unlimited mbs").

[Pic of msg in attatchment]

Please help.

I'm viewing it with windows explorer (but it doesn't work with cuteFTP either) and the ftp is at ftp.pirate-land.com

It really looks like they're having issues still. Did you call them yet?

Was it the FTP site that was down or your computer? The error message indicates a possible problem with the username and/or FTP server disk full.

the website was down, my computer was fine and the username/password is just as it always was (i use roboform to fill all this in anyway...)

hmm ill check cpanel to see if they've imposed a space limit... Maybe somehow their servers are full.
I'll try deleting a useless file and uploading this new one...

99985.06 Megabytes left lol...

I just looked at my FTP error log and hundreds of messages similar to this appear:

[Thu Dec 7 13:43:34 2006] [error] [client 24.***.207.184] File does not exist: /home/dominicc/public_html/activesleep/404.shtml
[Thu Dec 7 13:43:32 2006] [error] [client 24.***.207.184] File does not exist: /home/dominicc/public_html/activesleep/***.html

deleting files didn't help...

Did this get resolved? I'm interested to know if it was on the FTP server/host's end or your end (I'm leaning heavily toward FTP server/host).

It did get resolved.
Apparently two things went wrong at their end:
1. a user uploaded LOADS of movies on to his site, overloading the server.
2. there was also a small fire which damaged some of the cables connecting the servers and so they had to replace them...
