I've just bought this game but during installation it told me my computer does not meet the minimum requirements to run it. I tried to play it and it went well at first but once the game got quite "busy" and a lot was going on it just froze up - except the background music continued.
How do I find out what I need to get to run it?
Is it stuff I can download from the net or is my computer just not up to it?

P.S. I know very little about the operating systems of pc's or the programs that make things work.

If this is your motherboard, in order to play AoE3 and other newish games you need a gfx card that motherboard says you have a PCI-e x16 slot this is good it means you can get any of the new gfx cards check out the computer shops online see what you can afford, ild probably aim for something around a 7600GT or a x1600 at least, you could also do with another 512Mb of ram.

One thing I thought I would add is if your game is slow 40% of the time it's not RAM it's processing speed.
