I installed ubuntu and my Bt voyager 1040 PCI wireless card doesn't seem to be working. I tried using ndiswrapper to install the drivers but that didn't seem to work.

Does anyone have any thoughts on how to get my wireless card working?

ndiswrapper can be tricky, and as I have a wired connection I'm not very familiar with using it. However, ubuntuguide.org has a lot of good tutorials, and a good one on how to set up ndiswrapper.

Try and find out what chipset it uses for its wireless its either written on the cards wireless chip if you can see it, or google for it if you cant see then go to the manufacturers site and then you can find out if they have linux drivers. The companies that make the chip often have better drivers than the companies that use them in their products.

It's a BCM4306 802.11b/g Wireless LAN Controller

I think I have the drivers working, but for some reason the wireless interface shows as disabled, even though i networking I ticked enable this connection

Turns out there are prewritten scripts for my chipset
