My computer jsut died on me... when i turn on the computer.. it says KEYBOARD FALURE.. also.. the mouse dosent work either... i think i might have caught somthing from this install disc for a WEB CAM that i got from China.. i think it installed more than just drivers.... o yea.. i cant use it.. so no HJT log...

i posted this samething in the malware place... ANY ONE CAN HELP ME??? i want to avoid formating the drive and i dont want o waste money in the shops...


also just before this i got a random email.. but i did not open it...

Well, any virus issues would, generally speaking, only effect Windows, so that's probably not what's going on. If yor computer is coming up with keyboard failure when you first start up the computer, that's pre-Windows, and it should probably halt your system right there.

Is your keyboard PS2 or USB?

to help others reply to your question
if you haven't mentioned it yet:
- what model of computer
- what os, XPpro or home = pro
- how old is it

to topic then
if it were just the mouse or just the keyboard I could walk you around this but as it is both, please do some things for me.
- first, disconnect all plugs the reconnect only the mains, mouse, keyborad and monitor(quessing that this is a desktop computer) see if it is just the connection
- do you get keyboard function in bios
- do you get keyboard function in safemode

yea... well i sort of got those things fixed but im still scaning my computer like crazy... so.. could you look at my HJT log???
