I am trying to find out how to access my router, i have a 2wire 2700HG-E
I looked on the web and it said to put ip adress 172.16.0.1. in the adress bar
for the 2700HG-D but i cannot find for the -E, when i put that ip adress in
(172.16.0.1.) the internet page just comes up as "cannot be displayed"
I want to be able to host custom battlenet games for warcraft 3 frozen throne
again, but have not been able to since installing this 2wire 2700HG-E.

I tryed this site for help:
http://www.portforwa...arcraft_III.htm

plz help! :whistling:

:edit: just for the record I have telus as a provider, if that changes anything?

Hi. Try typing 192.168.1.1 instead. If not, let me know.

There are a few network router default ip's some are below:

192.168.1.1
192.168.0.1
192.168.10.1

Most common are x.x.0.1 and x.x.1.1.

To help us find this out on your connection you can do the following;

Click Start
Click Run
Type "cmd" (without the ""s)
Type "ipconfig" (without the ""s)
Paste that stuff here.

For an example mine looks like this;

Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection 2:

		Connection-specific DNS Suffix  . :
		IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.201
		Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
		Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.253

The "Default Gateway" part is your router, in my case (as I have more than one router) I have changed mine to another IP address. If you type the default gateway address into your browser bar and hit enter you should find your routers control panel.
