Hi,
Norton constantly pops up a windows that warns of a possible worm intrusion.
It says it blocked the router's portal.
I went to rules and unchecked "activate auto-block"; the portion that blocks the attacker's IP when it identifies an attack, this can have side effects, althoguh it fixed the problem of having to restart the connection every five minutes.
I also tried to modify general rules under worm protection, but it did not work.

Please Help

THIS IS MY OPINION ALONE...I have yet to find NORTON compatible with my brain :whistling: WinDoc is the only Norton function I find of value...FOR ME ALONE...therefore, if you have the install files for NORTON and can uninstall it...do so, then refer to the following...and later, reinstall NORTON upon resolution...

ALL MALWARE ISSUED MUST BE DIRECTED TO THE MALWARE FORUM.

Have you addressed this issue to the malware forum?

In the meantime...

Run: Trend's House Call: http://uk.trendmicro...call_launch.php

Check out...Trend's sysclean.com from http://www.trendmicr...ownload/dcs.asp It's about half way down the page...

If you chose to use the following...set it up to run in SAFE MOFE, start it up, then go have a nap...it will take a while...

"If you are not a Trend Micro customer please download the following file.
Sysclean Package...3.2MB
MD5 checksum: 1afefef6ff493431787763fa839bfd06 *SysClean.com
NOTE: For instructions on how to use this package, consult the "How to Use" section of the readme file, readme_sysclean.txt. This file also contains the description and the different features of this package.

Note that for the Trend Micro Sysclean Package to be effective, you must download and place the latest pattern file in the same folder as the Trend Micro Sysclean Package.

Get it here: http://www.trendmicr...oad/pattern.asp

Virus Pattern Files / Cleanup Templates
The Virus pattern file protects customers against viruses.
The Virus cleanup template automatically removes the virus from the customer's system.

* Virus Pattern File (Official Pattern Release) - 4.113.00
It installs as LPT$VPN.113
