Ok this is my issue.

I have a notebook (laptop) and have a 17 inch screen built in, and two main out puts on the rear of the machine, 1x VGA and 1xDVI i have a 17inch CRT monitor in the VGA and works as a second display with no issue however when i have a CRT of the same make in the DVI (with an adapter DVI-VGA) and it wont come up as a 3rd screen.

I don't no how to fix this issue any advice will be appreciated.

As far as I know Windows only supports up to 2 monitors per video card. If you want 3 monitors your going to have to look here.

Crap that sucks, are you sure as i cant figger out why the laptop has two outputs (i know XP supports up to 9) as well i know you can use the S video for a third monitor and have done before.
