Network Problems

Hi i seem to be having some network issues i will be playing World of warcraft and have my veentrilo open and i will just lag right out and after like 5-10 mins i can get back in i have restarted my internet and such and idk if it could be my network card is over heated or a bad cord but were u plug in the ethernet cord is orange if that would mean anything i currently have a gigabyte motherboard with a nvidia network card i will have to find its box tomarrow moring and i will post the model number etc. but does any know any solutions off the top of there head?
