desktop pictures

Hi. I am having a little problem... Everytime i download pictures from my camera, emails and put them into my picture folder, these pictures automatically go into my display picture section... i would like them to stop going there automatically. Is there anyway to do that? I cant seem to delete them from there and everytime i go to change my desktop picture i have to go through a bunch of pictures..

Have you tried making a new folder within my pictures and storing images you add there

Yes i have 3 different folders and each picture in them automatically went to the display pictures..
