Hi, I am new here, hopfully I put my question in the right place.

when I try to open a file with windows media player, such as clicking a .wmv link on the web, my computer becomes very very slow, almost like its frozen. This also happens whenever I open a page with windows media player on it.

can some plz give me some advice on whats wrong with my computer or how to fix it?

In addition, I just installed warcraft 3 on my computer but when I open it, my computer freezes too. I dont know if its related or even caused by the same problem.
