Outlook Express has an auto feature that asks about compacting messages to save disk space - but I can't find a way to turn it off permanently so that it doesn't constantly ask to do it. We used to just let it compact, but since installing IE7, it "Copies Files" (which it never did before) and then puts BAK files in the Desktop Recycle Bin as it compacts - which don't look right. Additionally, it messes up the folder tree structure in the email account.

Outlook Express Help says we can adjust the amount of disk space allocated on the Tools>Options>Maintenance Tab, but there isn't any feature like that there. Since we really don't care about compacting, we'd like to just turn it off. Can the auto feature be turned off in the Registry? Ideas?
