Alright, for the past week or so I've been building a new machine and I think I'm about done choosing my parts at Newegg. But something makes me question the chosen motherboard's compatibility with the RAM I've chosen... Here are all the parts I'm planning to buy. Click on them for details:

APEVIA X-CRUISER-BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail
[ $69.99 ] = $79.99 - $10.00 Instant

ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler - Retail
[ $29.99 ]

Kingston HyperX 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model KHX6400D2LLK2/2GN - Retail
[ $260.99 ]

ASUS P5B Deluxe Socket T (LGA 775) Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail
[ $179.99 ]

Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD3200KS 320GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM
[ $89.99 ]

COOLER MASTER eXtreme Power RP-600-PCAR ATX from factor 12V V2.01 600W Power Supply - Retail
[ $84.99 ] = $89.99 - $5.00 Instant

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz LGA 775 Processor Model BX80557E6600 - Retail
[ $322.00 ]

BFG Tech BFGR7950512GTOCE GeForce 7950GT 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 OC Video Card - Retail
[ $259.99 ]

Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound - OEM
[ $5.99 ]

Total: $1,303.92

Now the reason I'm doubting the motherboard/RAM getting along is because of what it says for the motherboard's specs. Under Features it says:

Notice: Only DDR2-800 memory supporting JEDEC approved 1.8V operation with timings of 5-5-5 or 6-6-6 is supported on Intel Desktop Boards based on Intel 965 Express Chipsets

When I look at the RAM specs I see this:
Timing: 4-4-4-12

I'm not too good with hardware so can someone please confirm that this ram will not work with this board? And if not, would you recommend a different board for my setup? Also, feel free to comment on the rest of it too! :-P

Thanks!

Have you taken a look at the QVL for memory for this motherboard?

http://usa.asus.com/...e...2=11&l3=307

On the left side near the top is a list with a link to the QVL download. You can download the PDF file and see what memory is compatable to this motherboard. Kingston memory is not on the list.

If you want to change to a different MB perhaps a Gigabyte one would be better. I have always liked Gigabytes.

http://www.newegg.co...N82E16813128018

The gigabyte supports quite a lot more memory makers than asus and shows support for Kingston.

Its just a thought since i really am not too enamored with asus MB's.
