when i turn on my system the desktop screen comes in 1 minute but the problem is we cant do anything for 5 mins. we need to wait 5 mins to open an application or to do anything in the system. i have tried deleting temp files, disabled some of the startup items using MSCONFIG.also changed the size of virtual memory, the initial size is 512 and max size is also 512. my system memory is 256mb.also did disk cleanup. but the problem remains the same. :whistling:
