computer restarting.. virus?

Hi

My computer restarted itself for no reason. when it came back up i had a an error report saying it had recovered from a serious error. I did not think much of it until it restarted itself again about 10 mins later. This second time i had no error report. I'm concerned i have a virus, or why else would it restart it self twice in 15 mins?

I'm running Norton and did a HJT log

Hi, and welcome back to Geeks to Go. I couldn't help but notice the nick - are you a Green Day fan?

I don't see any immediate signs of malware, but you are running two anti-virus programs - I see both Norton/Symantec and AVG Free. Two anti-virus programs can cause conflicts and contribute to poor performance of your PC, as well as make you more vulnerable to viruses. You need to uninstall one of them. I personally would recommend keeping AVG Free and uninstalling Norton. If that's what you choose to do, I would suggest going to this link and use the removal tool - Norton is difficult to remove entirely.

Once you've done this, please post a new hijackthis log and let me know if you're still having issues.
