Firstly, i apologise if i'm posting in the wrong section but this seemed the most relevent one.

I recently purchased a new dell system which came with Mcafee pre installed. As i had no account and wasn't going to buy it i uninstalled it. SO today i checked my task manager for any unwanted processes and came accross ccApp.exe. Following a quick web search i found this is used by norton anti-virus even though its never been installed. So my questions are :
A) Did Mcafee use this.
B) Does it interfere with avg in a negative way
C) Should i just leave it or do something.

Any help would be much apprecieted as i have limited knowledge regarding computers.

Hi. First, I haven't heard of that process making any trouble. ccApp.exe is used by various Norton Products, not just virus protection. Do you have any Norton products installed?

Just a thought, there are few worms with that file name. Where is the file located ? Is the file path something like this C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ , can you tell us what is the file path?

Yeah its in common files so looks clean. Now that you mention it i have norton ghost installed, just me being paranoid.

That's it then. Mostly all Norton products use that process. I only use Norton Ghost nowadays, and I have it. Don't worry, perfectly normal. It's good that you're concerned though. Keep that up.
