I deleted the Quick Launch toolbar icon to Show Desktop somehow. I have seen a ton of articles on how to restore it. I even found a link to a freeware utility that restores it for you. I have tried all of these and now the icon is back, but when I click on it nothing happens.

Any help out there please. I really miss this function.

Hi dynrat!

Please download the file located HERE to somewhere on your computer where you will remember its location. Then find the file on your computer and double-click it to run it. (Depending on the security software installed on your computer, you may receive a warning when attemping to run this type of file. Click YES to any warnings so that the file will be able to run.). You will receieve two little windows that appear. One will say Toolbar menu's have been restored., and the other will say DllInstall in shell32 succeeded. Then reboot your computer, do so and once your computer is rebooted check and see if the Show Desktop icon is back in the Quick Launch Toolbar.
