I was using IE6 with Win98SE but it kept stopping and would not allow me to follow any links. I ran all my antivirus & malware and it still occurred. I re-installed and still had the problem. In hopes of ridding myself of the problem I even switched to Firefox. This seemed to resolve the issue for a few weeks, but now it is locking up and not allowing me online. I am sometimes able to get it to work for about 10 minutes after rebooting but it always seems to freeze up. It also brings up an XPCOM.exe file (I am unsure what it is) as still running, unable to close at this time when I shutdown to reboot after my browser locks up.
