I cannot get my volume control on my task bar. It says that it needs to be installed thru add/remove programs..........
Volume on my new speakers are terrible!! (Philips ) and driving me crazy!
I have onboard sound(SoundMax integrated digital audio).

I have googled with no luck. Anybody help with this issue please? I have another issue going on but will wait till I get my volume working correctly before I post about that.

Hi blondie09! Welcome to G2G!

What happens when you try to place the volume icon in the taskbar by checking the box in Sound & Audio Devices in the Control Panel? Do you get an error message? If so, please post exactly what the error message is.
