Hi ... i have a little problem with the browser everytime i open a page from a hyperlink or anything linked my browser go everywhere else but the link that i want to ... so i smell that something is hooked to it ... and was wondering if i have any malware on it ....
i have a log from hijack this but don't know exactly what to take out form there ... hope you can help

You may want to print out these instructions for reference, since you will have to restart your computer during the fix.

Please download FixWareout from one of these sites:
http://downloads.sub.../Fixwareout.exe
http://www.bleepingc.../Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts. You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.

Once the desktop loads a text file will open (report.txt), you can close it - the file has already been saved.

Run HijackThis. Click "Do a System Scan Only", and place a check next to the following items (if found):

Please do an online virus scan with Panda ActiveScan Here. You need to use Internet Explorer for this scan.

• Once you get to the Panda site, scroll down a bit and click on Scan your PC
• A new window will appear; click on Check Now!
• A new window will appear; fill in the boxes (Country, State, email addy)
• Click on Scan Now! >
  If you have never used ActiveScan before, you will be prompted to install an ActiveX control (asinst.cab) : click on Install. Panda will install the component, and then install the latest signature files.
• From "Select a device to scan...", choose "My Computer"
• Allow the scan to run. It'll take a while.
• When complete, click on "See Report", and then on "Save report"; save it to a convenient location.
• I will need you to post that report in your next reply; simply open the text file, then copy/paste the content here.

Finally, please post the contents of the text file that opened earlier (you can find it at C:\fixwareout\report.txt ), along with a new HijackThis log and the active scan log into this topic.

well i can't start the panda antivirus cause it doesnt let me choose the my computer icon or any icon in fact and so it cannot start the scan .. it installed an active x file .. "Consoles" but still not working so i cant post a result or that ..

Are you stil being redirected to other sites?

Try running one of these scan if Active Scan won't run.

Kaspersky OnLine Scan or if that doesnt work, you can use TrendMicro or BitDefender. (Please post the results of the scan(s) in your next reply)

Glad to here things are better it is a good idea to run an online scan as it may pick up some leftovers from the infection that Hijackthis doesn't see. It's up to you at the end of the day but I would recommend that you do a scan and post the results.
