My browser works sometimes, and sometimes it won't. This has been going on for months. Example: For the last four days I have been able to get into my yahoo account and forums.....today I was not able to get into the yahoo account, and the forums won't allow me to post. It takes me back to the login screen. I have changed nothing on my machine. As I said, it has done this quite a few times before. After about three days of not working...I am able to get on my machine and everything is just fine. This is getting old. What security is set at medium and I use Zone Alarm. I use Microsoft Internet and Firefox for browsers....mostly Microsoft, but recently tried Firefox.

I would appreciate help, if you wouldn't mind.

Thanks.

Have you emptied your Temp folders lately?

Here is a free utility that does very quickly

ATF Cleaner by Atribune.

Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

If you use Firefox browser
Click Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.

If you use Opera browser
Click Opera at the top and choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.

Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

To manually delete the temp files go to to tools>internet options>General tab> middle "delete temporary files" button( i also check the "off line files" as IE builds up news-servers files there also). It can take a while if you have a lot of them. I do this every 3 to 5 days because i visit a lot of news groups.
