Computer has been loud

My computer has been sounding much louder since in hooked up a 160GB removable hard drive. Its just as loud with the harddrive on as it is off. is there anything i can do to quiet this at all?

Howdy,

What is loud....the Fans...the Hard Drive........take sometime to zero in on where it is coming from

If not under warranty take the side off so you can pin point it better.

yea like what bonk said.. check that.. and try to remember if you knocked anything loose while you were trying to plug the EX harddrive in. but like Bonk said... make sure its not under warrenty.. like dells..
