I opened itunes just like I do every day, but when I tried to play a song no sound came out. I unplugged and replugged my speakers, but still nothing. I opened windows media player and it worked, same with songs playing on webpages.
I tried opening volume control, but it said "There are no active mixer devices available. To install mixer devices, go to Control Panel, click Printers and Other Hardware, and then click Add Hardware. This program will now close."
As far as I can tell, it thinks I have no speakers plugged in, but sound still plays in everything but itunes?

Go to Control panel, click on system. Choose the Hardware tab and then click on device manager. Do you have any devices showing yellow or red marks?

This sounds really stupid, but did you check iTunes didn't have the volume slider at the bottom? Because the other day, :whistling: that happened to me with YouTube.
