Hi
I just wanted to know if any of you could help me
I have a L4VXA2 motherboard on a atx case with a 2.0ghz cpu and i'm having problems trying to make it boot
i don't really know if i burned the motherboard or i don't know what am doing it all wrong because this is the first time i actually try to put together a computer
sometimes i can get the front power and reset lights on but they are just steady and when i press them the computer doesn't start
my main problem is getting to put the front panel wires in the wight position here is a picture of the intructions say on my manual http://www.geocities.../frontpanel.JPG
but my wires on the atx case say another thing
this is what they say

1)POWER SW
2)H.D.D LED
3)RESET SW
4)POWER LED +
5)POWER LED -

I try to put them they way they say but i can't get anything to start

Trying to follow the diagram for those leads can be confusing. Unless we can see the picture, it's hard to help. Just study the diagram closely and it should make sense.

Neither one work. The second one says to check with the owner of the file as to whether or not you are allowed to see it.

Looks simple enough to me. P stands for "positive", N stands for "negative". Also looks like the top row is even numbers and the bottom row is odd numbers. Example is your Hard Drive LED. Positive pin in #1, negative pin goes in #3 which is the hole to the right of #1. Your reset switch negative lead goes in #5<which is the hole to the right of #3 Etc... Hope that helps.

Hi
To know what wires go where I'm going to need more info from you if all these plugs are just one wire or more and the color of the wires if more then one.

1) power sw
2) hdd led
3) reset sw
4) power led +
5) power led -

According to the picture you sent, start with your HD_LED_P and insert that end into #1. One of the two wires will be the negative wire, one will be positive. I don't know what the colors are of the wires, but the ground (negative) will be either black or white. Back to the diagram the bottom left hole (#1) is for HD_LED_P that is where the positive wire goes. On the same row of 1 and 9 that is the direction the connector goes, meaning the negative end (black or white). After that is in place look at the diagram where #2 is. That is where the FP PWR/SLP positive wire goes. Now going towards #10, the next hole is where the negative end goes (either black or white wire). Don't panic, it is really easy. Relax and take your time as it is a learning experience. The next board you put together will be much easier. One the same note, verify all your other connections are in the same place.

Hi
when I talked to you I said I need you to post back with what it says on the wires and how many on each plug and the colors and I can help you on telling you what pins they need to go on.
