Any errors when trying to install them? And are you downloading them from the Microsoft Windows Update Site or are they automatic updates?

try this

go to tools
internet options
trusted sites
Uncheck the "Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone" checkbox and add the following sites to your Zone. You do this by simply typing in the addresses below into the field next to the "Add" button.

http://*.microsoft.com

click ok

the errors are you getting a error code like
8007003

or are just they failing

go to my computer
cdrive
windows folder
look for windows update in notepad
copy and paste the latest update failure look for todays date
an error code should be there
then paste it here

then same notepad windows update go edit select all onany blue delete everything

then go to run from start type in prefetch then ok
go to edit>>select all>>on any blue file delete
confirm delete

go to all programs accesseries .>system tools>>disk clean up and clean disk

then reboot

try updates again
