Any errors when trying to install them? And are you downloading them from the Microsoft Windows Update Site or are they automatic updates?

These are automatic updates...i took it off for a while since it wasnt working and i put it on again today and it had 36 new updates....none of them would install. I even deleted the windows update folder from program files and still no luck

try this
go to tools
internet options
trusted sites
Uncheck the "Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone" checkbox and add the following sites to your Zone. You do this by simply typing in the addresses below into the field next to the "Add" button.
http://*.microsoft.com
click ok
