Greetings,

Here's my problem. I am getting an error message for "msmsgs.exe, (application error )"." Intructions at 0x7c910f29 referenced memory at 0x0069004d could not "read" memory"

I have tried to disable windows messenger along with msn messenger. I shut down the proccess, but it keeps comming back, ( approx every 5 - 10 mins it seems ). msmsgs.exe is the only application error message I get.

XP Home, 1g ram, Radeon X1300 Pro 256m, Pentium 4 2.8 Hyperthread

Thanks in advance

Hi nvnascar42! Welcome to G2G!

Do you have a little icon in the systray (down by the clock) that corresponds to Windows Messanger? It will have a red circle with a white 'x' inside the circle.

When are you receiving this error message? When you have Outlook Express/Outlook open?

Hi nvnascar42...

Click Start, then Run, type msconfig and click "Ok".

Under the "Startup" tab, locate msmsgs in the list and remove the tick in the box next to it. "Apply" the change and reboot.

Upon restarting, you will see a Selective Startup dialog window...this is normal. Tick the box to now show it again and click "Ok".

Do you still get the error message now?
