Received a Sandisk Cruser Micro model SDCZ6 flash drive as a gift and use it on Windows Meat home. Do not get a "safe to remove" icon yet everything I have read says that Win ME has the program. :whistling: The drive is displayed in My Computer as drive E and seems to work okay. If I clike on the drive letter I see EJECT but after cliking on it nothing appears to happen. My computer at work has Win 2000 Pro and I get the Icon there. Unfortunately SanDisk support is not much help. I did see the post from BooGal back in May 2005 but was hoping that there may be a better fix 18 months later.

If it all works what your problem ?
Are you getting an error message when you pull the disk out?
If not then don't worry.
On my 98*Guest machine the safe to remove icon in the system tray (near the clock) only shows up now and then

Thanks for the input. Shall rest easy now knowing that someone cares enough to reply. I'm old enough to remember Sputnik and Roy Rogers so computers can be intimidating. I still have a box of tools called "pencils". :help: I have printed and taped your 3 rules to my monitor. :whistling:
