Does anyone have any idea what this new password request is from geekstogo ????

This morning when i logged onto geeks, a dialouge box popped up with a title of ,,,

CONNECT TO WWW.GEEKSTOGO.COM
The server www.geekstogo.com at adlogger requires a username and password.

Warning: This server is requesting that your username and password be sent in an insecure manner (basic authentication without a secure connection).

Is this authentic, or something more suspicious !!!!
Anybody else seen this pop up ??

I believe Keith said that is a site blip and it is nothing to worry about. Do you use Internet Explorer?

edit * its mostly happening to the UK members.

I use IE7, funny thing is, it doesnt even recognise your username or password anyway,,,
Very annoying for this to pop up every single time you read a thread or try to post.

If any of you are using AdBlock in Firefox and are having this problem, just add a new filter for *adlogger*

I added the following to my hosts file and now the popup window is blocked in IE6.

127.0.0.1 *adlogger*

Your hosts file can be located at C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc. It doesn't have a program associated with it, so just choose Notepad from the list and you will be able to edit and save it.

For IE7 it can be done with internet options, security, click internet and disable active scripting, it knocks fast reply out so only add reply runs
