I'm trying to start a decompression program from CGPGroup.com that unzips .bz2 files (BZTest.exe). When I start the program, I get the error response similar to: Application failed to start because it can't find MFC70.DLL I've done a search in Windows Explorer and found two of them: one in C:\ and the other in C:\Program Files\Online Services\PeoplePC\ISP5900\System

I suspect the one in C:\ should be someplace else, but where?

Tell me if that works, is this a standalone product or does it install itself?

OCM770, not sure what a stand alone product is, but it's an .exe file I downloaded, then I double clicked on the .exe file to install the program. It went fine. When I tried to use it, got the error response. I did uninstall the program and re-installed. Same response.

I suspect it's looking for that file in a particular place and it's not there. Can I move/copy the one I have to C:\Windows\system32 which is where many are located in various Hijack This threads I've read.

You can copy and paste it into the C:\Windows\System32 directory with no problems, just make sure you are COPYING it.

Fenor, thanks! That worked like a charm. The program opens; now I just have to figure out how to work it :-)
