Welcome to GeeksToGo! :whistling:

When you open the folder and click the View menu, what has a black circle next to it? Example - Filmstrip, Thumbnails, Tile, etc. If it is not Filmstrip or Thumbnails, try one of those. If that does not work, what is the photo editor?

OK. Do you know what the filetypes are (JPG, GIF, PNG, etc.)? Also, do you know what the size of the files are? You can right-click a file and click Properties or just view "Details" on the left side of Explorer.

Try deleting the thumbs file. You will have to go to Tools | Folder Options | View tab and select "Show hidden files and folders" to see it, then delete it. Reopen the folder and XP will create a new thumbs file with the thumbnails.

If you right-click the picture, do you get an option to "Refresh Thumbnail?" If so, try that once.

OK. Try going to Start | Run and type sfc /scannow. You will need to have your XP CD in the drive and when the box disappears restart your computer. Try again, and if it still doesn't work, delete the thumbs.db file again, close Explorer, and open that same folder.

I have to go to work, so if that does not work I found this, but I'm not sure if it will work in your case or not.
