I'm doing a core duo build and adding a 2nd computer at home. I know. OOOH massive network :whistling: I have a netgear 54Mbs router now for my comcast cable broadband. Everything is hardwired, as I have no current need for wireless capability. That may change in the near future, so a good wireless performance is important to me with this purchase.
I read reviews on NewEgg.com for a couple of routers and the d-link dgl-4300 seems to get rave reviews, have some serious capabilities and good wireless performance. But when I was price shopping at zipzoomfly I ran across this deal which prompted my questions.

My first question- what is a gaming network adapter? Do I need one? or is it just a gimmick at this point. If I do need one, is there one that's better bang for the buck?

2nd- this router apparently doesn't support jumbo packets. Since I'm not hosting a server, that doesn't reall matter, right?

3rd- is there a better router out there for similar money?

Thanks.
